KSDK -- Preliminary results from an autopsy on a body discovered Sunday afternoon in Florissant will not be available until Tuesday at the earliest, police said.
According to Sgt. Kevin Boschert, a spokesman for the Florissant Police Department, children playing near Cold Water Creek found the body wrapped in a tarp around 5 p.m. Officers were then called to an area near an apartment complex at North New Florissant Road and Carla Drive.
The St. Louis County Medical Examiner's Office has been unable to identify the body.
The investigation is ongoing, Boschert said.
