KSDK -- More than two hundred volunteers rolled up their sleeves today to build a new playground in East St. Louis.
The playground is being built at Virginia Park, where the old equipment was removed and the new equipment put in its place.
Workers from Kaboom, Dr. Pepper Snapple Group and the East St. Louis Park District donated their time and muscle to the project.
Kaboom is a national non-profit organization that's mission is to provide every child a great place to play. They've helped build 1,600 playgrounds since 1995.
