KSDK--Illinois State Police are trying to identify a body found on the banks of the Mississippi river. Fishermen made the discovery Sunday morning south of the Eads Bridge.
Investigators could not determine the race, age or sex of the victim who was wearing orange Dickies brand shorts and white Nike brand tennis shoes. A white "Faded Glory" brand shirt with orange stripes was found near the body.
An autopsy is planned for Monday.
