
KSDK -- A big-name NASCAR driver spent Wednesday morning visiting sick children and their parents at Children's Hospital.
Scott Wimmer met with the families in the March of Dimes Intensive Care Unit. He shared personal stories about his own son's hospital stay and offered support for parents visiting their children.
Wimmer also signed autographs and took pictures with the hospital staff.
He will race at Gateway Raceway in Madison, Illinois on Saturday. He drives car number 40.
