Website raises thousands of dollars for St. Louis public schools

KSDK -- A man is a hero for the St. Louis public schools and for schools across the nation.

Charles Best created www.donorschoose.org, which is a website that connects people who want to donate with classrooms and teachers who have special requests for learning materials.

Donorchoose.org has helped donate $35 million to schools around the nation, including more than $170,000 worth of classroom materials for St. Louis Public Schools last year.
