
KSDK -- The Warren County Sheriff's Department completed a two-year undercover narcotics investigation that helped investigators solve homicides and burglaries. They also led to numerous search warrants, other drug seizures, and money forfeitures.
This morning, approximately 40 officers comprised of the Warren County Sheriff's Department, St. Charles County Sheriff's Department, Warrenton Police Department, Wright City Police Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S. Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, East Central Drug Task Force, and the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group set out to locate and serve felony arrest warrants on the defendants in the investigation.
Investigators found, marijuana, prescription pills, ecstasy pills, crack cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine and mushrooms during the round-up. They also seized marijuana plants, dozens of guns, and busted meth labs.
They took 41 suspects into custody.
Warren County Sheriff Kevin T. Harrison said as more warrants were served throughout the day he anticipated additional search warrants and drug seizures.
