
KSDK -- MoDOT will temporarily close the Anaconda Bridge over Interstate 44 near the St. Clair rest area starting Monday, October 12.
Crews will begin rehabilitation work on the bridge, including deck repairs, hydro demolition, milling work and pouring a new bridge deck. Work is scheduled to take approximately two weeks to complete, weather permitting.
Traffic will be detoured to the Route 30 interchange in St. Clair. Drivers traveling on the north side of Interstate 44 can detour to the north service road to Route 30 for access to the interstate. Drivers on the south side of Interstate 44 can detour to the south service road to West Springfield Road and then to West Gravois Road to Route 30 for access to the interstate.
