UPDATE: Arrest made in Fairmont City motel murder

KSDK -- A 17-year-old East St. Louis woman has been arrested and charged in connection to a murder in Fairmont City, Illinois.

According to Major Jeff Connor, Deputy Commander of the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis, Danielle D. Washington was arrested early Tuesday morning for the murder of 33-year-old Octavio Cantreras.

Cantreras, a resident of Rolla, had been shot to death and left in a room at the Royal Relax Inn on Sunday, October 18.

Washington was charged with first-degree murder and remains in the St. Clair County Jail on a $1 million bond.
