KSDK -- Fallen trees and limbs are creating headaches from homeowners.

A large tree in Webster Groves collapsed overnight and blocked Lanvale Drive. It also smashed onto a Jeep across the street.

No one was injured in the tree collapse and public works removed the tree in about 45 minutes.

The Jeep, which belongs to a neighbor, was covered by their own auto insurance policy.

Homeowners need to know what coverage they have if a tree damages your home because not all storm damage is completely covered.

"Most policies cover very limited coverage for debris removal," said Joe Harnist from Harnist Insurance Agency. "If the tree or the limb hits your house, the company is going to pay to remove it from the house and fix the damages. But if it just falls in the yard, it's limited coverage under the policy. And that's basically because if the insurance companies have to pay for every tree that came down that didn't do damage to the house, they wouldn't be in existence."

In some cases you will have full coverage, in others, you'll have limited coverage depending on where the tree fell.
