KSDK -- A St. Peters man is charged with trying to sell LSD to an undercover police officer.

22-year-old Jeromy Beck allegedly sold the drugs to a detective with the St. Charles County Regional Drug Task Force from his home on Cloverwoods Drive.

Beck has a lengthy criminal record.  In the past, he's been accused of marijuana possession, theft, assault, DWI, indecent exposure, and felony possession of a controlled substance.

Beck already had a warrant for his arrest before the alleged drug deal on other drug-related charges.

The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney's Office charged Beck with distribution of a controlled substance, a class B Felony.   Beck was held at the St. Charles County Jail on a $25,000.00.
