
KSDK -- The Internal Revenue Service is looking for more than 107,000 taxpayers who did not receive their refund checks in 2009.
In Missouri, 1,357 regular refund checks, totaling more than $952,000 were returned by the U.S. Postal Service due to mailing address errors. In Illinois, 3,593 checks were returned totaling $3,669,700.
Locally in Missouri, St. Louis County had the highest number of returned checks. In Illinois, it was St. Clair County.
