Jefferson County woman sentenced on illegal weapons charge

KSDK -- A 38-year-old House Springs woman was sentenced for illegal possession of a grenade, Acting US Attorney Michael W. Reap said.

According to court documents, Rachel Amratiel, formerly known as Thomas Hibdon, pleaded guilty August 11 to one felony count of illegal possession of a hand grenade. Amratiel admitted to having the weapon on May 24, 2007, in Jefferson County.

Amratiel appeared in court Thursday afternoon for sentencing. The judge sentenced Amratiel to 18 months in prison.
