KSDK -- A federal grand jury indicted a 47-year-old Randolph County man on federal firearms charges, Acting US Attorney Michael W. Reap said Thursday.

Jeffrey L. Miller was indicted October 1 on one felony count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. The indictment alleges that Miller had two pistols in his possession on September 15, 2008.

Due to his criminal history, Miller is forbidden by law to own or possess firearms.

If convicted, Miller faces up to 10 years in prison and/or fines up to $250,000.
