Thargomidah, Australia (RTV) -- A quiet town in the Australian Outback has been overrun with thirsty kangaroos.
Every day around nightfall, hundreds of kangaroos scour the drought ravaged area for water and food. The region west of Brisbane has suffered from its worst drought in a half century.
One resident said she often opens her door to find five kangaroos rummaging through her back yard. Farmers and ranchers say the kangaroos have reached plague proportions.
"It's possible to shoot seven hundred a night, they're that thick," said farmer Scott Frazier. "They're swarm proportions, you have no idea, it gives you a creepy feeling when you see them that thick."
