
KSDK -- The Clayton School District will get its first shipment of the H1N1 "swine flu" vaccine on Monday and begin providing vaccinations to select students and staff members.
Students and staff must have completed 'Immunization Consent' and 'Vaccine Preference' forms and fall into one of the following five top-priority groups to receive the vaccine:
1. Children ages six months to four-years-old
2. Children ages five to 18 with medical conditions that would be adversely affected by swine flu
3. Pregnant women
4. People living with and caring for infants under six-months-old
5. Health care workers
Children 10 years of age and under must receive two doses of the vaccine.
The vaccine will be distributed according to the following schedule:
Monday, November 9 -- Family Center Gay Avenue Campus (10 a.m. - 3 p.m.)
Tuesday, November 10 -- Family Center Maryland School Campus (9 a.m. - 2 p.m.)
Wednesday, November 11 -- Captain Elementary School (9 a.m. - 3 p.m.)
Thursday, November 12 -- Glenridge Elementary School (9 a.m. - 3 p.m.)
Friday, November 13 -- Meramec Elementary School (9 a.m. - 3 p.m.)
Monday, November 16 -- Wydown Middle School (9 a.m. - 3 p.m.)
Tuesday, November 17 -- Clayton High School (9 a.m. - 3 p.m.)
Elementary school vaccinations will be given out at the following times:
--Kindergarten, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
--First Grade, 10 .am. to 11 a.m.
--Third Grade, 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
--Second Grade, 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
--Fourth and Fifth Grades, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
