
KSDK -- The Vigil services and funeral have been scheduled for a St. Charles area doctor who died last week in an accident near Pilot Knob, Missouri.
Dr. Larry D. Murrow Jr. was killed November 6 when his vehicle was struck head on while he was driving on Missouri 32. Murrow, 44, died at the scene.
A rosary vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville, Kansas, where Murrow grew up. The funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. the following day at Holy Name Catholic Church. Murrow will be buried with full military honors at Fairview Cemetery following the funeral proceedings.
Murrow served in both the United States Air Force and Army National Guard. He practiced emergency medicine for St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis in 1993. He served six months as a physician in the First Iraq War. While in Iraq, Murrow achieved the rank of Major.
He is survived by his wife and four children, and his parents.
