Underground electrical fire in downtown Clayton

KSDK -- An underground electrical fire is causing some problems in Clayton.

The fire started Monday afternoon in the 200 block of S. Bemiston.

Ameren crews are shutting off power in the area so crews can put out the fire.

No one is in danger, but several nearby buildings are without power. The Sheraton Hotel is running on partial power.

Bemiston is closed between Bonhomme and Shaw Park Drive and will remain closed until the fire is out.
