KSDK -- One Veterans Day service honored World War II prisoners of war who were from all over the world, but are buried together in a common grave at Jefferson Barracks.
The remains of 100 men and women have been interred at Jefferson Barracks for 60 years. All died in captivity while being held at Japanese camps from 1944 through 1945.
Military personal from the USA, Great Britain, Australia, Canada and New Zealand attended the ceremony.
Several speakers also mentioned the recent massacre at Fort Hood and those who were killed.
The Remembrance Service was sponsored by Fort Leonard Wood and Scott Air Force Base.
