KSDK -- Flags are flying at half-staff in honor of Sergeant Christopher Cooper who died last month in a non-combat related incident in Iraq.

Cooper joined the Marines after graduating from Fox High School in Arnold.

When he finished his tour of duty with the Marines, he joined the Army.

The flags will stay at half-staff at state buildings until November 18.
