East St. Louis dedicates homeless shelter for veterans

KSDK -- East St. Louis is home to a new homeless shelter dedicated solely to veterans.

The "Eagle's Nest" was dedicated today on State Street. It will provide transitional housing and support for military veterans who have found themselves on hard times.

There are 26 units available. The shelter is one of three sites that will offer round-the-clock care and counseling.
