KSDK -- A man was found murdered in an alley in South St. Louis Saturday morning and the search continues for the killer or killers.
Police responded to the 3000 block of Tamm near Arsenal after 11 a.m.
Witnesses said they saw three white men in a green Chevrolet vehicle and a struggle going on inside. At some point, neighbors said it sounded like a gunshot was fired.
A short time later, the victim, described by police as a white man in his 30's, was found dead. Neighbors in the usually quiet Clifton Heights neighborhood said they did not recognize the men or the vehicle.
"That could've happened up on our alley. That actually is a very scary thought," said resident Lori Curnin. "I would hope that it was somebody who knew somebody and drove here from a different community. I mean, that's horrible to say but we don't have that happen here."
The identity of the victim has not been released.
