
KSDK -- The George Clooney movie 'Up In the Air' premiered in University City Saturday night at the Tivoli Theater.
It's all part of the 18th annual Whitaker St. Louis International Film Festival.
Director Jason Reitman was on hand along with with Michael Buegg, who is one of the executive producers. Buegg is also a local.
The pre-party Saturday afternoon took place at the St. Louis Ballpark Hilton and the Airport Hilton. Both are featured in the film.
The band Yukon Jake, which is featured in the movie's wedding scene, provided the entertainment.
The film is a dramatic comedy and is rated R. George Clooney plays Ryan Bingham, a corporate downsizing expert on the verge of reaching five million frequent flier miles when his employer decides to cut back on travel.
The movie was sold out. The money goes to Cinema St. Louis.
