CAPTION THIS: Penguin falls in love with her handler

MUNSTER, Germany (EBU) -- Here is a love story with a twist. Sandy the penguin is in love, but not with another flightless bird. She loves her keeper, Peter Volbracht.

Penguins are monogamous and apparently she's chosen Peter as the man of her dreams.

It started 13 years ago when sandy moved to a zoo in Munster. She scorned the company of other penguins, preferring Peter above all others.

Peter says he's "just her big penguin." He thinks her feelings for him might have developed because he fed her.

Sandy did "cheat" on Peter once when he was home sick for six weeks.

She had chicks with a fellow penguin named Tom, but after Tom died, Sandy was back after Peter the zookeeper again.
