KSDK -- An accident in the westbound lanes of Interstate 44 brought an extended delay to commuters during the Friday rush hour.
The accident occurred on I-44, just west of I-55. The westbound lanes were closed for a short period of time.
As of late Friday afternoon, one lane remains closed, causing problems for westbound Poplar Street Bridge traffic and southbound I-70 traffic.
