KSDK -- The downtown St. Louis skyline is a lot more colorful Friday night.
The Salvation Army kicked off its annual "Tree of Lights" campaign at Kiener Plaza with the lighting of the Christmas tree.
The Tree of Lights campaign is the major fundraiser of the Salvation Army.
Of course, the demand for services is up this year because of the economic downturn. The Salvation Army hopes to raise more than $6 million during the holiday season.
