KSDK -- The St. Louis Rams are doing their part to help families in need.
Partnering with Schnucks and the Urban League, players handed out turkeys and other Thanksgiving goodies at three Urban League centers. The players purchased the food themselves.
More than 1,300 families are expected to be fed this year thanks to the program.

This year, Rams' staff members spent Monday stuffing bags with all of the Thanksgiving groceries as part of the team's new Day of Service, an initiative where once a month the entire staff goes into the community to assist local non-profits, including the Urban League.
The goal of the Urban League is to improve the social and economic conditions and opportunities for African-Americans and other minority groups in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, and St. Clair County, Illinois.
