KSDK -- Three Kirkwood schools presented nearly $9,000 to aid Red Cross Haiti relief.

North Kirkwood Middle School, Keysor Elementary School and Robinson Elementary School conducted coin drives to raise the money.

Students representing all three schools, along with their principals and teachers, will present Deane Adam of the American Red Cross with a giant check Friday morning during a special presentation at North Kirkwood Middle School.

Kirkwood students, staff and parents in the K-12 schools throughout the district have been participating in service-learning projects to learn more about Haiti as they raise funds for relief efforts.

The schools are donating funds to various organizations including the American Red Cross, Doctors without Borders, Meds & Food for Kids, and Help for Haiti..org.
