KSDK -- MoDOT officials say they will have 440 employees out in 220 trucks, working 12-hour shifts overnight Monday, until the roads are clear.
MoDOT crews will be out in full force battling this latest story," said Jim Carney, MoDOT's state maintenance engineer. "Still, if your plans for call travel, please keep on eye on the weather and the other on your safety."
MoDOT officials list their road-clearing priorities in the following order:
1) Highest traffic-volume roadways are cleared first, including interstates and other major routes.
2) Heaviest-traveled sections of state numbered and lettered routes like Lindbergh (rte. 61/67), Olive (rte. 340), and Page (rte. 364).
3) Lower-volume, lettered or numbered routes. MoDOT pays special attention to routes traveled by school buses and commuters.
4) After the storm, workers clean up accumulation on shoulders, bridge edges and interchanges.
