Red thread teaches students about connections

KSDK -- Two hundred and fifty students in three schools all have one connection.

Students at Mann Elementary, Washington Montessori and Langston Middle School were all joined together in the Red thread Project.

The kids learned to knit their own hats and used the red thread to symbolize that all people are connected, which is based on a Chinese proverb.

The hats will be donated to local charities.
