St. Louis (KSDK) -- Five tractor trailer loads of books have been unloaded and stacked at Kennedy Recreation Complex for the YMCA Bookfair.
A group of volunteers started the fair back in 1978 as a way to raise money for the YMCA. At the time, it was a one day event, these days the fair stretches six days.
The doors at 6050 Wells Road open this afternoon at 4 p.m. for the diehards and admission is $10.
The rest of the time there is no admission fee. A couple of days to remember are Tuesday and Wednesday. On Tuesday, all books are half price, and Wednesday it is $10 box day.
The book fair is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday through Wednesday. For more information, click here.
