St. Louis (KSDK) -- Cancer has touched most of us through a friend, a family member, a co-worker.
Now, a group of people want you to join them in their quest for a cancer-free world.
It's called Pedal the Cause, and it's set to take place October 9th. Bikers can choose between a 25 or 60-mile course that starts downtown at Soldier's Memorial and heads to Jefferson Barracks.
Each rider is encouraged to raise either $500 for the 25 mile ride or $1,000 for the 60 mile trek.
This morning, NewsChannel 5's Heidi Glaus talked to Dr. Will Gillanders about where the money raised from Pedal the Cause will go.
