The clock is ticking for the Cardinals and Albert Pujols. The Cardinals have three weeks from today to get a deal finalized, that's the first day Pujols arrives at Spring Training.
In a new twist ESPN is reporting that trading Pujols is not an option. Sources have told ESPN Pujols, who has the power to veto any trade will do so if approached.
If Pujols were to become a free agent and not resign the Cardinals would get two draft picks in return.
While negotiations have been extremely tight lipped it is believed Pujols is asking for 10 years and 275 million according to ESPN.
