  • St. Louis (KSDK) -- A St. Louis Cardinals fan got to live out the ultimate dream following the Redbirds World Series Game 6 come from behind win.

    Dave Huyette, of Maryville, and a friend were sitting in the bleachers when the 11th inning walk-off home run David Freese hit came flying towards him.

    Huyette jumped the fence, wrestled the ball then shoved it down his pants before anyone could notice.

    Huyette and his friend ended up in the Cardinals clubhouse after the game.  He offered David Freese the ball.  Freese then gave him a bat he signed and a baseball signed by the team.

    Huyette also got to meet some other Cardinals.

    Huyette showed NewsChannel 5 his text messages between him and a friend prior to the game.  He joked with his friend "Jeremy & I goign to world series game Look for us catching the careds winning home run!"
