COLUMBIA, Ill. (AP) - A trustee of a southwestern Illinois community's subdivision says the home where a former Marine strangled his wife and their two sons has been sold.
Susan Walla of the Columbia Lakes area in Columbia tells the Belleville News-Democrat that the buyer of the former home of Christopher Coleman's family is expected to close on the sale Monday.
Coleman was convicted in May and is serving a life sentence in the 2009 killings of Sheri Coleman and their 9- and 11-year-old sons.
The two-story home has been unoccupied since the killings and lately had been listed for sale for $181,000.
The potential buyer's name hasn't been released.
