St. Louis (KSDK) - The Better Business Bureau is offering advice on car sales as more people get rid of their gas guzzlers for a more fuel efficient vehicle.
The agency says sellers should always communicate face-to-face with a buyer, instead of solely through email or phone calls. The BBB says people also need to be completely honest about a car's condition. Maintaining records of services will help insure to buyers that a vehicle has been well cared for.
The BBB suggests making sure a car is clean and tuned up before putting it up for sale. And when it's time to start negotiating, the agency says to aim high and work down to a price that works for both parties.
