St. Louis (KSDK) - A 21-year old soldier was buried at Jefferson Barracks Wednesday.
Army Specialist Jeffrey White, Jr. of Catawissa was killed two weeks ago while serving in Afghanistan.
White graduated from Pacific High School four years ago. His classmates joined his family and other friends to say goodbye.
Members of the Patriot Guard, nearly 700 strong, led the way from the First Baptist Church in Villa Ridge, to White's final resting place.
White was an avid Blues fan, and in his honor many mourners, including Pastor Roger Johnson, dressed in Blues jerseys.
Friends remembered White as a happy person.
He is survived by his parents and two brothers.
