Cahokia, IL (KSDK) - The Cahokia Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a man who robbed a local credit union.
According to Cahokia Police Chief James Jones, the robbery occurred Wednesday at 12:25 p.m. at the Scott Credit Union in the 3400 block of Mississippi Avenue. The suspect walked up to a teller and presented her a note indicating a robbery and demanding money placed in a bag. The teller complied and the suspect left the scene without further incident.
The suspect was last seen entering a maroon Dodge/Plymouth style van.
The suspect was described as an African-American man, approximately six-feet tall and slender, wearing dark shorts, a black V-neck t-shirt and a red baseball cap.
