Red Bud, IL (KSDK) - An Illinois business is spreading the word there are perks to products that are made in America.
Integrated Manufacturing Technologies is expanding its facility in Red Bud, Illinois.
The project will create around 50 jobs, but owners hope it does much more than that.
They say their growth should help other American companies keep manufacturing jobs at home, rather than shipped off overseas.
"American manufacturing's not dead. We represent some hope here and I really grow weary of seeing all these stories of little small America shutting down and going to these towns and seeing places shuttered. I think this represents an alternative to that," said Rudi Roeslein with Roeslein & Associates, Inc.
Right now, the company's employing around 100 people at the Red Bud facility.
That number's expected to grow by several dozen over the next two to three years.
