Charlotte, NC (CNN) - The Democratic National Convention turned out really well for Bruce Springsteen, and he wasn't even there.

Sales of his song "We Take Care of Our Own" soared 409 percent after it was played at the end of President Obama's speech at the convention, according to the Billboard music chart in the week ending September ninth.

Following the convention, the song sold 2,000 downloads, its best week since March.

Sales of the song's parent album, "Wrecking Ball," also are on the rise.
