St. Louis (KSDK) - Friday morning, transportation officials will talk about plans to help fix a major traffic headache.

A special meeting will focus on congestion in the eastbound lanes of the Poplar Street Bridge.  The East-West Gateway Council hired a team of engineers to come up with solutions to the problem.  The plan should also improve access to Illinois, south of Interstate 64.

Engineers will detail their proposals at a meeting scheduled for 9:30 a.m.
