St. Louis, MO (KSDK) - Have you always had a special project you wanted to get off the ground but couldn't? Or maybe you like the idea of helping to fund an entrepreneur and a project that's under development.
That's the whole idea behind Kickstarter, a social-media micro-finance website seen in features on CNN and in Time magazine.
Since the spring of 2009, $350 million has been pledged for more than 30,000 creative projects by more than 2.5 million people. It could be a film, music, a game, art, design, anything.
One of Kickstarter's creative projects is under development right here in St. Louis. Jamey Stegmaier, the creative mind behind the board game Viticulture, visits NewsChannel 5 First@4 to discuss his idea and hopes for the game.
