Arlington, TX (Sports Network) - The Texas Rangers will have 10 relievers
available for Friday's wild card game against the Baltimore Orioles.
Yu Darvish will get the start for Texas on Friday, but Rangers manager Ron
Washington will have plenty of arms ready if the rookie struggles.
Matt Harrison, Derek Holland and Scott Feldman, each of whom made at least 21
starts this season, will be among the pitchers available for long relief or
extra innings.
The rest of the relief staff will consist of veteran Roy Oswalt, closer Joe
Nathan, Alexi Ogando, Yoshinori Tateyama, Koji Uehara, Michael Kirkman and
Robbie Ross.
Washington elected to keep three catchers, as Geovany Soto and Luis Martinez
will join Mike Napoli.
The infielders will be Adrian Beltre, Elvis Andrus, Ian Kinsler, Michael
Young, Mitch Moreland and Jurickson Profar. The outfielders on the roster are
Josh Hamilton, Nelson Cruz, David Murphy, Craig Gentry and Leonys Martin.
