Sao Paulo, Brazil (Sports Network) - Clodomiro Carranza bested Jose de Jesus
Rodriguez on the first playoff hole Saturday to win the Brazil Open.
Carranza fired a 6-under 65 in the final round to match Rodriguez at 15-under-
par 269. Rodriguez closed with a 3-under 68 at Sao Fernando Golf Club.
The duo headed to a playoff, where Carranza needed just one hole to dispatch
Rodriguez and earn his first win the Latinoamerica Golf Tour.
Matias O'Curry, who won the last tour event in Colombia, fired a 9-under 62 to
end alone in third at minus-13.
Third-round leader Rafael Campos stumbled to a 5-over 76. He was joined in
fourth place at 10-under-par 274 by Andres Echavarria (67), Christian Espinoza
(69) and Jorge Monroy (71).
