San Francisco, CA (Sports Network) - Bronson Arroyo spun seven stellar innings
of one-hit ball on Sunday, and the Cincinnati Reds blanked the San Francisco
Giants, 9-0, in Game 2 of their National League Division Series at AT&T Park.
Arroyo (1-0) struck out four and walked just one to earn his first career
postseason victory.
Ryan Hanigan registered three RBI, Jay Bruce plated a pair and Ryan Ludwick
added a solo homer for the Reds, who won 5-2 in Game 1 on Saturday.
Madison Bumgarner (0-1) was tagged with the loss after giving up four runs on
seven hits and a walk over 4 1/3 frames.
Pablo Sandoval had the lone extra-base hit for San Francisco, which now looks
to become the first NL team in Division Series history to rally from an 0-2
deficit to win the series.
Game 3 of this best-of-five series is slated for Tuesday in Cincinnati.
