St. Clair County, IL (KSDK) - A stretch of Interstate 64 in Illinois will be re-named Monday in memory of Kelli and Jessica Uhl.
The teenage sisters were killed the day after Thanksgiving in 2007 when former Illinois State Trooper Matt Mitchell crashed into their car.
Authorities say Mitchell was driving more than 120 miles per hour and using his cell phone when he slammed into the Uhl sisters' car.
A portion of I-64 in St. Clair County will be known as the Jessica and Kelli Uhl Memorial Highway.
A ceremony is planned at 10 a.m. in O'Fallon, Illinois.
