St. Louis (KSDK) -- Some students who ride buses in the St. Louis Public School District may be picked up about 20 minutes late after a police investigation.
A large number of police officers responded to the First Student Bus Lot offices in north St. Louis after a report of a robbery and shots being fired during the 5 a.m. hour Thursday.
Police set up a perimeter and made contact with the office manager who indicated he was fine.
Police said the incident was unfounded and are trying to figure out who made the call.
Buses were held up because of the investigation. School district spokesperson Patrick Wallace said some students will be picked up late. He was unaware of what routes were impacted. Students are told if their buses are 10 minutes late to return home and call a hotline number to determine when the bus would arrive at their stop.
