San Francisco, CA (Sports Network) -De'End Parker scored 21 points to lead the
San Francisco Dons to an 81-65 victory over the St. John's Red Storm in a non-
conference tilt at War Memorial Gym.
Cody Doolin had a double-double with 18 points and a career-high 14 assists
for San Francisco (5-1) which won its fifth straight. Mark Tollefsen added 11
points and Tim Derksen chipped in 10.
St. John's (6-3) was paced by JaKarr Simpson who netted 22 points while
D'Angelo Harrison tacked on 14 points. The Red Storm had a four-game winning
streak snapped in the loss.
San Francisco shot 45.5 percent from the floor including a 6-of-11 effort from
beyond the arc and led 38-35 at halftime. St. John's kept it close despite
shooting 39.4 percent by holding a 7-2 edge from the free throw line.
The Dons heated up to 57.1 percent shooting and outscored the Red Storm 16-5
from the charity stripe to coast to the double-digit victory.
San Francisco outscored the Red Storm 30-16 on points in the paint.
