ST. LOUIS (KSDK) - A St. Joseph, Missouri woman has been indicted for selling stolen items on eBay.
Court documents state 39-year-old Tammy Baggio stole merchandise from Sam's Club locations in seven states, including in St. Louis and St. Charles, and sold the products online.
The indictment states Baggio would use a large item that was packaged in a box, such as a trash can, remove the contents, and fill the box with more expensive products, usually electronics or a pet product called Frontline.
When she went to the checkout she would have the box scanned, and would pay for that one lower-priced item.
Baggio was indicted by a federal grand jury in January on one felony count of conspiracy to transmit stolen goods.
If convicted, Baggio faces up to five years in prison and fines up to $250,000.
