Delray Beach, FL (Sports Network) - Only one second-round match got started
Wednesday due to rain at the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships.
Eighth-seeded Xavier Malisse was tied 2-2 with Spanish qualifier Daniel Munoz-
De La Nava when play was halted at Delray Beach Tennis Center. Malisse was the
champion here in 2005 and 2007 and runner-up in 1999, 2001 and 2006.
That match, along with seven other second-round encounters, will take place
Thursday.
Second-seeded German Tommy Haas, who titled at this event in 2006, will take
on Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan.
Latvian qualifier Ernests Gulbis, the 2010 champion, squares off with American
Sam Querrey, the No. 3 seed. The other match that didn't get started, between
Croatian Ivan Dodig and Russian Evgeny Donskoy is also on tap Thursday as are
the regularly-scheduled second-round tilts.
Top-seeded John Isner faces Japan's Go Soeda, while sixth seed Kevin Anderson,
the defending champion from South Africa, takes on Yen-Hsun Lu of Chinese
Taipei. American wild card Jack Sock plays Ricardas Berankis of Lithuania, and
Croatia's Ivo Karlovic takes on Frenchman Edouard Roger-Vasselin.
The 2013 champion will pocket $78,000.
