ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KSDK) - MoDOT has announced major construction that will occur on southbound I-270 between Manchester Road and I-44 for a widening project.
Lane closures will begin March 18 and will be in place for approximately seven months.
Four lanes will remain usable during the construction work.
Additional lane closures will occur during non-peak hours for daily work, with 15 minute highway closures occurring twice a day for blasting. The blasting will last two months.
The additional northbound lane that was completed last year has made travel through the corridor more reliable.
The entire project is expected to be completed by late December.
